Okay, so here’s a bunch of things you might want to know about me.
I was born in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on the 16th day of July, 1984. I spent most of my childhood in Yogyakarta, and it is still the one place I can call home. I completed my studies at the Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2008.
My first job was at a small software development company in Solo. It was a bumpy first trip, one that only lasted for eight months. I then decided to move on and pursue greater challenges. So I went out and got a new job at a (significantly) larger software development company in Bali, Mitrais. Joined in June 2009 and built quite a bit of my career there. I left almost six years later in May of 2015 to join Sale Stock Indonesia, along with a group of very passionate, smart, and dedicated software engineers, tinkerers, and nerds who also happen to be good friends of mine. The “startup” that we’re building has very ambitious targets. The challenges grow each day in size and complexity. We’re striving to be the best in what we do and to have an impact on the lives of many people across the country. That in itself drives me to learn more and more, and I think it’ll be quite a while until I decide to jump to another ship.
I’m really into computers and programming, and I’m striving to learn more each day. I’ve learned PHP, VB6, and even LISP during my final year in college, but I’ve spent most of my days on the job using Java, C#, and Scala. I’m also a bit of an electronics tinkerer. I enjoy goofing around with RaspberryPis and Arduinos, relays and LEDs, that sort of thing. I can’t wait to get my hands on my own abode, which I’m sure I can trick out with some smart systems that I can only dream of today.
I’m also fond of music, almost all kinds of music. In fact, my favorite band list spans from Paramore to L’arc~en~Ciel and from Shiina Ringo and Tomiko Van to Jamiroquai.
Last but not least, I would really really really like to go on an awesome backpacking trip to Japan and Europe someday.
